23 Jun Going Global Workshop Series to educate businesses on import and export expansion
With the participation of more than 45 small and medium business The Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources hosted its first of a series of free workshops on Wednesday, May 25, to provide information on opportunities for south Miami-Dade businesses interested in expanding their import and export operations. The Participants received from public- and private-sector industry experts information related to effective tools on how to access international markets, best prospects, legal aspects and available trade financing. This workshop will be offered in various locations across the County.
Workshop agenda topics include: strategies for global expansion; selecting foreign markets; cultural and legal considerations; export documentation, shipping, and logistics; terms of sales; payment methods, trade financing; risk assessment and risk management; education and training; and regulatory compliance.
